When initial reports of a virus In China first surfaced its fare to say that most people never imagined what was round the corner for quite literally the whole world.
No one could have ever imagined the human toll, let alone the sacrifices everyone would have to make. When you look at the stats, staying at home is the easy option to take. However we must not dismiss the effect it has on people, let alone the economy.
While some business will boom, a great deal more are struggling and indeed folding. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their jobs, and although the Government is propping things up while we ride the storm – it’s going to be a hard for many.
Here at Wavelength we see no point in hiding the fact that we are feeling some effects already. The job market is in almost total suspense, with our work drying up so to speak. However it’s not all negative as we remain a viable business with contractors still working and clients still ticking over.
We, like many are looking forward to the return to normality, but have no desire to scream and shout and force things along. It’ll happen when it’s right and until then like many other businesses we must comply and follow the advice.
It may be troubling, but that pales into insignificance when people are loosing their lives and many more are putting theirs on the line for the sake of us all.
We will be all the stronger for this in years to come.
